Amy Lopez completed her undergraduate degree at the University of the Pacific. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Pre-law and English, she went on to study law at the San Joaquin College of Law. She graduated from this institution with her Juris Doctor in 1995. Amy Lopez became licensed to practice law in the state of California during the following year. She has been practicing family law in California for 20 years.
